Well, we figured you might still be bored. So we have added a few more products for you to take a look at. You are not going to believe just how novel some of these phones really are! We have something for everyone. If you are a sports fan, animal collector, Disney Character lover, or just like to have a unique conversational piece we will have it.

Just to give you an idea as to what we have in our store. The Prowler Car, Fighter Plane, USS Enterprise, Elvis Presley, Fire Engine Truck, Cinema Movie (yes, it is really a phone), Harley Davidson and many more. We could go on for some time just listing them here. But we know that you would rather have a look at them instead.

CELLULAR PHONE STUDY - RESULTS TO BE PUBLISHED THIS MONTH

So what if it won't be published with any type of formal articles written on it! But it will be published in a "Letter to the Editor" in a major wireless magazine. We are just moving too fast into the big time. We just had to elaborate on our comment in the last issue of our newsletter due to the great response to it.

We recently decided that we too needed to get on the sensationalism bandwagon like 20/20. Therefore we decided to conduct our own study and examine the test results. In our studies, we used actual human subjects and not rats. Please see below:

We used both an analog phone and a digital phone. For the purposes of this excercise, we tested them with both the antennae up and the antennae down. In all four testing conditions, we found that the results were consistent. In addition, we had our results independently confirmed.

Although we did not have our peers examine the results, we did have them independently confirmed by cellular phone users within the general public. Which will also prove our results to be valid which will be shown shortly.

We tested two phones. The Motorola 650e Flip Phone and the Ericsson KH688 Digital phone. We started with the analog phone. We had the subject take the cellular phone into their right hand. At which time they were instructed to hold the cellular phone about 1.5 feet from their head. The phone was being held slightly above eyebrow level. We then instructed the subject to bring the phone close to their forehead in a rapid motion. This same process was repeated six times.

We then tested another subject with the antennae up. We repeated the process once again with using six attempts as the guideline. The process was duplicated with the digital phone that we have mentioned above. Noting that the digital phone had a fixed antennae to further diversify our testing conditions.

The results were consistent in all 18 attempts in that the subject claimed to suffer an acute headache with no apparent effect of memory loss noted. We in turn had our test validated by asking cellular phone users to confirm that our test would in fact create the same results that we had discovered.

I would supply the names of our subjects for your validation. However, I too was a test subject and I seem to have forgotten their names.

Final Test Analysis:
Repeatedly banging a cellular phone against your forehead can cause an acute headache and ....

This is at least one study with proven results about the hazards of cellular phones. And we certainly agree that conducting such a test can be compared to the hype of cellular phone hazards in the real world by the media. Absolutely no value whatsoever. Okay, here is how it goes. You went out the the car. Turn on the ignition. Nothing. Not even a cranking of the engine. You had to leave for work. You look at your watch and run back into the house to call work to let them know you were going to be late. After you have called, you just realized you left your keys in the ignition of the car. You are fiercely hoping you didn't lock the doors. Preoccupied with your situation, you take off running. Only to find that the phone cord was wrapped around your leg and you ripped the cord right off the handset. Oh Man! You will have to deal with that later. Okay, what to do next. The Cell phone! (Luckily, you put the phone on the charger just before going to bed.)

This time you look around carefully to ensure no other problems are going to occur by sprinting to your car. A quick survery shows all looks safe and you bolt for the car. Well, at least the doors were not locked as you had feared. You reach in and grab your cell phone. With a great sigh of relief

knowing help is about to come, you dial AAA Auto for assistance. The operator gets on line and you tell them that your car won't start. Just as the operator asks you for your name and address where you are located, you say "This is John Smith. I am located at 1245 Sun....... Silence. Youare speaking into a dead phone. With exasperation, you find that the battery on the phone is dead. You just remembered that you were meaning to get a new battery or desktop charger and just forgot since you were just too busy with other things. Right then and there you make a resolution to never let that happen again.

The moral of the story?

Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today! Visit our website and get that spare battery! And if you already have one, then get a desktop charger so you will always have two batteries fully charged. In doing so, you can still claim it as being one of your New Year Resolutions that you achieved.

NEW TAX ON CELLULAR PHONE USER'S BILL DECIMATED IN COURT

We have to put at least one serious article in here. What many of us may not know is that various cities and counties have been trying to capitalize on cellular phone use by imposing taxes such as "right of way" taxes, maintainence taxes, and in some cases franchise fees.

As it stands, a recent ruling in Illinois has just decimated another's cities possible source of tax revenue by claiming the taxes as being unconstitutional. Which is good for all of us since it will put to rest at least for a while the various cities across the country from trying to tax our cellular phone use.

Folks in Chicago have been paying a maintainence fee tax for the last two years now. Of course, Chicago plans to appeal since they consider the tax to be very good source of revenue for them and has already netted the city about $88 million dollars so far. An appeal hearing is scheduled on Jan. 19th with the Illinois Supreme Court for those of whom may be interested. Both the states of Texas and Maryland have found the same results from the state courts.

To make it a little easier for both EarthVision Cellular and for you good folks, we will now be listing a weekly inventory of used cellular phones in stock. We have been getting a tremendous amount of inquiries into what used (aka refurbished) phones that we have available. The prices vary depending on the market and so does the inventory available.

We will list the pricing but you will need to email for a "reserved" 24 hour quote. Our inventory listing will offer you the chance to see what phones we do have in stock. Market demand and availablity of phones on the market will determine pricing. Most of the phones will be offered with a 1 year warranty even if they are used for a small additional fee. The extended warranty fee will range from $7.50 to $20 depending on the phone to get the 1 year warranty added on the phone.

Until we decide on how we want to design the page itself, we have come up with a temporary solution of putting them on the "specials" page. Keep in mind that if you are seeking a used phone that is fairly new to the market, they may not be available or if they are they will not be cheap. The older the model of phone, the better chance it will be available and the lower the price.

What you can expect is to get some of the best deals on the used phone that are currently available on the market. We provide only that which we consider to be the best bargain on the market for our customers. You are welcome to conduct some comparison shopping on the prices of our used phones. We believe that your chances of finding a used phone (especially with a 1 year warranty) that is even remotely close to our pricing is going to be a serious challenge.
