Letter from the Publisher to Our Readers

Hello Everyone. I apologize for the stale material and content. I am currently being deployed for military service. It is for this reason I am unable to keep the content of our website updated with fresh material. However, when I return, I will ensure that we get back on track with providing the news and updates that you have come to know and enjoy every couple of weeks.

Some of you have written to ask when we will be back online. Right now it is looking like it will be the Spring/Summer of 2008 before we can get back to our normal activities. Please accept my sincere apologies for dropping off the face of the earth but my last orders for deployment were a bit abrupt and I had very little notice. I just returned to the US and I was working on updating the website. However, I have just been recalled to active duty for another tour.

I appreciate your time, patience, and consideration during this time. Hang in there and I will return to tell you what I know. I am keeping up to date on everything. Right now, I am unable to share all that I have learned. Thanks again for all your support.

Best Regards,

William Evans

This website was designed with the cell phone user in mind. We are by no means perfect in our endeavors to educate the public on the cellular phone industry but we are doing our best. Our goal
is to assist you, the cellular phone user, in becoming an educated consumer.

The resources available on this website cover everything from cellular phone etiquette to cell phone trivia to helpful tips. A wide range of wireless phone topics will be covered in the Wireless Outpost, our newsletter sent to subscribers twice a month.

We scour many online and offline cellular phone
sources for cellular phone information. Our
experience in the wireless industry is quite extensive.
We decided to share what we have learned with you, the
cellular phone user. Myths and misperceptions
abound regarding cell phones. More often than
not, some companies, politicians, and others will try
to play on your fears as cell phone users.
Here you will find the truth or as close to it as we
believe it can be. We are not known for holding
back punches and because of this, we have offended some
who happen to be in the wireless industry. The
bottom line is that we tell it the way we see it.

The information you will find here on cellular
phones is provided as a free resource. However,
if you have any questions or need for us to conduct
research related to cellular phones then we will ask
you to refer to our research page. This is a
          service which will require payment.
Instructions for payment are provided on the research
page. There are only three exceptions in which we
will waive this fee: students (using an .edu
email address) seeking information for educational
          purposes, federal government agencies, and
reporters and journalists of the media. We want
students to focus on learning and we want reporters and
journalists to be able to report the facts.
We won't charge the government because social security
needs all the help it can get!

Information provided in our newsletter is meant as an educational resource to keep you abreast of various services and products available as well as other events that can have an impact on you. Generally, you will get advance notice of many events happening in the wireless industry prior to the mainstream public even being aware of it.

Now, feel free to browse the site or sign up for our newsletter. Before you sign up for our newsletter, you may want to review the archives to explore our journalistic talents (or lack thereof.) If you still sign up then you can't say that you didn't know.

If you should have suggestions, recommendations. or complaints in general, please contact us using the "contact us" button on the left side of the page.
